Significant Weather Event Ended – Stay Safe on Guelph’s Streets Trails and Sidewalks!
The Significant Weather Event is no longer in effect, but here are some important updates for those walking, rolling, and biking around the city:
Plowing Continues
Crews are still working on clearing residential sidewalks and some roads over the next few days. Service may be delayed, so please be patient as crews continue their work.
Downtown Snow Removal
From February 24-27, overnight street parking is not permitted from 9 p.m. – 7 a.m. to allow snow removal trucks and equipment access to clear downtown streets.
Freeze-Thaw Cycles
With warmer daytime temperatures and freezing overnight, icy conditions are expected, especially on sidewalks and bike lanes. Please exercise extra caution when walking or cycling!
Flooding Risk
As snow melts, it may lead to flooding in low-lying areas of the city. If it’s safe, please clear any nearby storm drains to help prevent pooling.
