Join the GCAT Board of Directors
Dear GCAT Members:
We’re starting to make plans for the 2023 Annual General Meeting of members to be held in February. Watch for a separate message soon with the actual date.
One of the AGM’s agenda items is electing Directors to your Board. GCAT’s Directors are elected directly by its members.
We hope that you will consider standing for election to the Board. By serving as a Director, you can have a significant impact on GCAT’s mission of increasing the quantity, quality and safety of active transportation in the City of Guelph.
This year the Board is seeking qualified candidates to fill 4 vacant positions on the Board. We are seeking candidates who bring skills, knowledge and experience in one or more of the following priority areas:
• Communications, marketing and social media
• Volunteer recruitment and management
• Fundraising, grant writing, strategic partnerships and networking
• Collaborative advocacy
The following expertise areas are also valued by the Board:
• IT and website development
• Program and curriculum development
If you are interested in serving as a GCAT Director, please read the Director Job Description and the GCAT Bylaws.
To express your interest, please fill out our Expression of Interest form. We use this form to collect information about the skills, knowledge and experience of candidates to help our members to make informed decisions in the election of Directors. The information you provide in the form will be distributed to members prior to the AGM.
The deadline for completing the form is January 31, 2023.
