It’s Bike Month! And we are thrilled to be involved in so many local in-person Bike Month events celebrating life on two wheels.

Bike Month Kick-off – Guelph Bike Day: June 4th, 2-4pm in Market Square

This is the City’s kick-off event for Bike Month. Gather downtown to celebrate the kick-off of bike month with a GCAT-organized bike ride. This is a family-friendly ride, so bring the kids and let’s get on our bikes. We’ll start and end the ride at the Market Square with some live music and general merriment. For more details, see the Bike Month 2022 website.

2Rivers on 2Wheels – June 5th, 11-12

We are happy to be participating again in this year’s 2 Rivers Festival and leading a live ride. Join us as we explore Guelph’s River systems under pedal power. You will get some geographic insight revealing the ancient riverbanks that mark the history of our Rivers’ Edge. Exploring by bike is thirsty work, but luckily you can reward yourself with a cold brew or two at the end of our 10 km trip.

To register, sign up with the 2 Rivers festival.

Love Your Bike Festival – June 18th
Begins at St. Andrew’s Church and ends at The Wooly,  9am-12pm

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Love Your Bike group for this year’s festival! This event brings together Guelph’s cycling community with various cycling groups, bike shops and activities.

The festivities begin at 9:15am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 161 Norfolk Street (where it intersects with Suffolk) and include: complimentary bike checks, antique bikes on display, a moment of silence and Blessing of the bikes, and a “wrench off”. A 10am there are two organized bike rides: an Easy Rider Parade (led by GCAT) and Two Rivers Ride (led by GORBA) to Guelph Lake and back. Both rides end at The Wooly where there will be a BBQ, a story time with the GPL and more.

GCAT needs some bike marshals and our booth manned. If you are interested, sign up to volunteer online.

Tour de Guelph – June 26th, the location University of Guelph for group rides or ride on your own between June10th and June26th
