Bike The Night 2025

Bike The Night is back! Guelph’s 5th annual community glow ride is taking over Guelph’s streets on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.

What: Guelph Community for Active Transportation’s 5th annual community glow ride, with music, contests, and prizes.

When: Saturday, September 20th, 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM (Ride starts at 8 PM)

Where: Market Square, 1 Carden Street, Guelph

Bike The Night welcomes riders of all ages and abilities to a lit-up party on wheels, which combines lights, music, contests, prizes, and a guided ride through Guelph’s downtown and the Ward neighbourhoods.

Decorate your ride with lights and accessories. The brighter, the better! Costumes are encouraged too. The best-illuminated bike & best costume will win a prize pack from our sponsors.

Registration

Registration is free, but required. While there’s no cost to participate, we encourage a pay-what-you-want donation to support GCAT’s mission of making walking, biking, and rolling safe, enjoyable, and preferred ways to get around Guelph.

What to Expect

• Contests for best-illuminated bike & best costume for both adults and kids.
• Prizes from local sponsors.

What to bring

• Your bike or other set of wheels.
• Lights, hi vis, costumes, accessories!
• Limited supply of decorations available.
• A portable speaker to help amplify CFRU 93.3 FM’s dedicated Bike The Night music broadcast (www.cfru.ca)
• Helmets mandatory for youth under 18 & recommended for all!

How to arrive

Market Square is a physically accessible public space outside of Guelph City Hall, located at 1 Carden St, Guelph.

• Bike Parking: Ride straight to Market Square. Bike racks will be available onsite.
• Car Parking: Nearby parking is available at the Market Parkade located at 10 Wilson St, Guelph.

Contest Details

The best-illuminated bike & best costume for kids and adults will win a prize pack from our sponsors! The contest is open to all who attend. Winners will be chosen by the audience during the pre-ride event. For more details, contact events@gcat.ca.
