Notice to Members of Special Resolution to Change Corporation’s Name

A special resolution will be presented to the membership at the Annual Meeting to change the corporation’s name from “Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation” to “Guelph Community for Active Transportation”. The name change was passed unanimously by the GCAT Board on November 13, 2024.

The GCAT Board feels that the proposed name change which replaces “Coalition” with “Community” is more reflective of our mission working in our community. The new name is welcoming and focuses on GCAT’s relationship with individual members as well as numerous other stakeholders (organizations, businesses, non-profits) in support of active transportation within the City of Guelph and beyond.
