Alex Ball is captain of the GCAT team for Ride for Refuge . Oct. 5, 2019
He is currently collaborating with us in the Bikes for Guelph Refugees programme.
Here is a message from Alex:
I know you like the challenge of a good bike ride, so I wondered: would you be interested in joining me? I’d love your support, and I think it would be a blast to cycle with you through whatever the weather throws our way. The RIDE offers 10, 25, and 50 km routes, as well as a 5 km walking route – so we could choose a relaxing ride or a real challenge.
The ride takes place in scenic Bloomingdale, which is a 25 minute (car ride) from Guelph. (Or 1hr 14 min by bike.)
Registration begins at 8am. There will be a bus leaving from Immigrant Services, 104 Dawson Rd, at 7:30 am, and returning at 12:30 pm. There are some bike spaces so contact Sandra Cocco at SCocco@is-gw.ca
We will be joining thousands of other riders, walkers and volunteers across Canada helping to raise $2,500,000 for some people who need hope and refuge. The RIDE supports hundreds of local charities, so it makes a big impact.

Thanks! It will be worth it!
