“Bikes vs. Cars” movie and discussion

Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation invites you to attend:

“Bikes vs. Cars” movie & discussion

On September 23 (8:30pm) and Sept 24 (6:30p.m), the Bookshelf Cinema will be presenting the movie, “Bikes vs. Cars”

The bicycle, an amazing tool for change. Activists and cities all over the world are moving towards a new system. But will the economic powers allow it? Bikes vs Cars, a new film project from BANANAS!*  director Fredrik Gertten,  is a cry for societal change around the sometimes emotionally-charged issues of urban cycling.

Movie trailer can be found here: https://vimeo.com/72980283

GCAT welcomes you to come out  and share your thoughts about how the movie portrays the relationship between Bikes and Cars.  These issues, among others, need political attention and action. Watch the movie on Sept. 23 at 8:30 pm or Sept. 24 at 6:30 pm. Afterwards, please join us for a lively discussion at the harvest table in the new Miijida restaurant downstairs below the Bookshelf Cinema on either evening.  For more info, contact activeguelph@gmail.com.
